At 7.51pm, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident on Balmoral Circuit, Sunbury after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a car fire in a garage.
CFA crews also responded to assist FRV.
Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find a double storey house fully alight.
All occupants were accounted for.
Firefighters attacked the fire from the ground and also utilised an aerial appliance as they fought to bring it under control.
Crews ensured all adjoining properties were protected from any fire or smoke.
The scene was deemed Under Control at 9.34pm.
Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria, and power and gas companies were also on scene.
