Beaumaris house fire

FRV firefighters spent the afternoon battling a blaze in Hepburn Avenue in Beaumaris after a fire broke out in the roof of a double storey home.

Crews were called to the incident at 11.30am and arrived to find a fire traveling through the back roof of the property.

Fortunately, all occupants were able to safely evacuate prior to FRV’s arrival.

Firefighters quickly gained the upper hand of the blaze, getting the situation under control by 12.11pm.

It's believed the incident may have been sparked by an electrical fault related to a solar panel.
