FRV crews extinguish fire in Melbourne CBD apartment

FRV firefighters have responded to a balcony fire overnight in a 19th storey apartment on Spencer Street, Melbourne. 

Crews arrived at the scene within three minutes.

The fire involved an external air-conditioning unit and caused heavy smoke logging of the 19th floor.

The fire was later extinguished with no further extension, and all residents returned to their apartments except for those on the 19th floor.
