Collingwood shop fire

FRV firefighters spent the early hours of this morning tackling a fire in a Collingwood shop.

Crews were called to the premises in Smith Street just before 3am and arrived within six minutes.

Firefighters were able to gain the upper hand of the fire quickly, containing it to the front area of the building.

The blaze was under control by 3.10am.

At this stage the incident is being treated as suspicious and Victoria Police is investigating.
