Firefighters battle structure fire in Hoppers Crossing

Early this morning multiple triple 000 calls were received for a Scout Hall on fire inside a school yard in Hoppers Crossing. 

First Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews found a 30X7.5m timber structure well alight when they arrived on the scene and requested additional Pumpers.

Crews in Breathing Apparatus used multiple hose lines to attack the fire and protect other buildings that were under threat. 

A Community advice message was issued due to the large amount of smoke in the area. 

A CFA appliance also attended. AV attended for Fire-Fighter welfare and VicPol attended for suspicious circumstances. 

The fire was deemed Under Control at 4.10AM.
