Four occupants evacuate Glenroy house fire

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to a house fire in Glenroy this evening, following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).

Crews arrived on scene within 8 minutes to find the roof of a single storey brick veneer dwelling, issuing flames and smoke.

Four occupants, who evacuated from the home prior to brigade arrival, were assessed by Ambulance Victoria for symptoms of smoke inhalation.

No Injuries have been reported.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and worked to extinguish the fire, bringing the incident Under Control within 30 minutes, containing the fire to the ceiling space.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene to support firefighting activities.

Firefighters will remain on scene for some time, to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
