FRV brings Middle Park house fire under control

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to reports of a house on fire at Richardson Street in Middle Park at 11.11pm on 30 December following several calls to Triple Zero (000).

Crews arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke and flames issuing from the roof space of a two-storey building, so the response was escalated.

FRV crews donned breathing apparatus and began an internal attack on the fire as well as protecting the adjoining properties.

The fire was deemed under control by 11.40pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but it will be investigated by FRV specialists.

Firefighters will remain on scene for some time, to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.

Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police were on scene assisting.
