FRV fights Craigieburn garage fire

At 10.21AM, FRV responded to a call to Triple Zero (000) reporting a garage fire at a single storey brick veneer home at Penny Lane, Craigieburn.

FRV crews arrived on scene in 8 minutes and escalated the response as the fire had engulfed the garage area and was threatening to spread into the roof space.

Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and entered the fire with hose lines to attack the blaze and prevent it from spreading.

At 10.42AM the fire was contained to the garage.

The roof area and living spaces of the home sustained no fire damage and the two occupants had self-evacuated safely.

The fire was not suspicious.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria attended in support of FRV operations.
