At 2.53AM, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) was called to an incident at Lancaster Drive at Point Cook after a caller to Triple Zero (000) reported a fire in a garage quickly spreading to an adjoining house.
On arrival FRV Firefighters found the property fully involved in fire.
Four occupants evacuated prior to FRV arrival.
The occupants were treated for smoke inhalation by Ambulance Victoria.
The fire took 20 minutes to bring under control and FRV Firefighters will remain on scene throughout the morning to undertake fire duties.
Severe damage has occurred to the brick single storey property, approximately 18m x 15m in size, which has also sustained a total roof collapse.
FRV specialist fire investigators will be attending this morning to determine the cause.
