FRV Firefighters were on scene within minutes after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a weatherboard, single storey house well involved in fire.
Occupants from surrounding homes were evacuated as a precaution.
The fire at the unoccupied house was deemed Under Control in 30 minutes, but there was extensive damage, including roof collapse.
FRV Firefighters proactively stopped the fire from spreading to a neighbouring home.
A Building Surveyor will attend to check the structural integrity.
Firefighters will remain on scene to continue fire related duties for most of the day.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.
