Templestowe Lower house fire contained

Fire Rescue Victoria responded to a house fire at 2.24am on Thursday 10 April on Morang Avenue, Templestowe Lower after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported seeing flames.

FRV crews arrived on scene in six minutes to find a two-storey brick veneer home engulfed by the flames.

Firefighters’ setup external firefighting lines to knock down the flames before entering the structure.

The fire was deemed Under Control 30 minutes after first crews arrived.

All residents of the house had evacuated with one treated by Ambulance Victoria for smoke inhalation and other minor injuries before being transported to hospital.

One resident reportedly fell through the carport roof while escaping the blaze.

FRV's fire investigators will investigate the cause of the fire.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene assisting FRV operations.
