Update on FRV IT outage

FRV continues to experience a widespread IT outage, which is affecting most of our systems, including FRV network, emails and dispatch.

Importantly, community safety has not been compromised and FRV continues to dispatch crews and appliances through mobile phones, pagers and radios. The community should continue to call Triple Zero (000) as usual during this time.

We have taken decisive action in response to this incident and are working around the clock with specialist cyber security firms and our partners in the State and Federal Governments, including the Australian Cyber Security Centre. FRV will provide more information as it comes to hand.

Our investigation is ongoing as to the impact of this incident on FRV information. At this stage, while we have not found evidence that our information has been stolen, we are implementing plans on the assumption that this may be the case.
